Volunteers give back at Owasso Community Center

Brittany Williams who will be entering the 8th grade and resides in Owasso considers community service to be a very important factor in becoming a good citizen.  The Community Center located on Cedar Street, off 76th Street, south of Fire Station #2,  enjoys the support of more than forty volunteers every month as it presents a program that provides quality activities and services that contribute to the physical, mental, emotional and social well-being of the community.

Brittany entertained  participants at the Owasso Community Center on Friday, August 1 at 11 am when she played specially selected pieces during the Fun, Food & Fellowship Luncheon. The performance went towards her 50 hours of community service to earn her Girl Scout Silver Award.   Her clarinet performance was alongside Melody Garrett, her instructor from the Owasso Youth Orchestra,  whom played the violin.

Lunch participants expressed praise for the performance.  Well done Brittany!
