OWASSO GOLDEN AGERS RAISE FUNDS TO HELP MEMBERS STAY YOUNG AT HEART!

ShariNorumwithMcDonald'sCouponBookThe Owasso Golden Agers motto is to Laugh, Love, Live. This spring the group will fundraise to purchase new equipment for the program held at the Owasso Community Center. Members who participate in the program stimulate their minds, exercise their joints and will enjoy activities at the fullest to help themselves stay fit and young at heart!

The group is once again partnering with McDonald’s of Owasso to provide coupon books to help the community save lots of dollars. Modern Woodmen of America have also committed to help the group raise $5,000 by matching dollar for dollar (up to $2500) what the Owasso Golden Agers raise.

Seniors will be selling the Coupon Book valued at $40 for just $5. The book will go on sale April 15 and will be sold up until May 15 or when supplies are sold out, whichever comes first. The book contains fifteen coupons – three coupons for Buy One Get One Free Large Lunch Sandwich; three coupons for Buy One Get One Free Large Breakfast Sandwich; three coupons for Free Small McCafe Shake; three coupons for One Free Small McCafe Smoothie; and three coupons for Buy One Get One Free Small $2.99 Lunch Extra Value Meal.

The books are great gifts for grandchildren to use during the summer and have proven popular with many local families who enjoy eating at McDonald’s with their school age children. Pre-orders are being accepted now and books will be available after Tuesday, April 15 at the Owasso Community Center, 301 South Cedar Street, Owasso (turn South on to Cedar Street from 76th Street, behind Fire Station #2).

The group will also be selling Raffle tickets for gift baskets and art. They expect to boost the proceeds to their $2500 goal. If you’d like more information about the fundraiser or the Owasso Golden Agers, please call Linda Rainwater, OGA Spring Fundraiser Coordinator at 918-272-9919.
