Hello, I’m hoping to get info and give a huge heads up to parents that live around Mills elementary school area. My son was riding his bike yesterday to go play at the playground area at Mills around 4:15. He is 11 and has his cell phone with him. We only live a couple of blocks from here so I was not with him. When he got to the playground area he said 2 black girls were leaving the area with their brown dog on a leash and so they were kinda passing each other. That’s when the dog jumped up onto my son, knocked him and drug him off of his bike and bit down into his armpit/torso area. It was a completely unprovoked attack. My son said the girls did try to get the dog off him, the dog was still leashed, they did hit the dog to get him to stop and the girls did ask my son if he was ok. By the time I got to my son, the 2 girls and the dog were gone. I have no idea who this dog belongs to or if it’s been vaccinated. My son had to go to the ER due to multiple puncture wounds and I was worried about infection. That dog does not need anywhere around a school if it is spooked from a kid riding his bike. My son did not recognize the girls from school and said they looked a little bit older than him. I do not blame the girls at all since the dog was leashed and they did what they could but this cannot happen to kids walking or riding their bikes or just playing. I also would like to note that my son is NOT small. He is 5ft3” tall and 112 lbs. had this been a smaller child this could have been much worse. Just a heads up to everyone around here and if anyone knows who this dog belongs to please contact me. I would like to know if its had its vaccinations Thank you Misty Moore
