09/10/2025 – Owasso Public Schools is celebrating a major milestone this week as voters approved the 2025 Student Investment Plan. This important decision will benefit students across the district in the areas of safety, facilities, academics, technology, and extracurricular activities — all without an increase in the tax rate for residents.

District leaders expressed deep gratitude to the many students, parents, staff members, and community residents who helped make this outcome possible. From offering feedback on the plan to learning about district needs and casting ballots, community involvement played a vital role in shaping the future for Owasso students today and for generations to come.

OPS has long believed that strong schools build strong communities, and the passage of this plan reinforces that commitment. The investment ensures that students will have the tools, spaces, and opportunities they need to succeed, while also strengthening this year’s district theme: Be Your Best.

Superintendent Dr. Margaret Coates shared her excitement, noting that OPS is proud of its reputation for excellence — a tradition this plan will help carry forward. Work on the approved projects will begin as soon as possible, and the district will provide regular updates along the way.

“This is a great day for our students, our staff, and our community,” Dr. Coates said. “We are so grateful for the support of Owasso residents. Together, we’re creating an even brighter future for every Ram.
