S RedmanShirley J. Redman was born November 28, 1934, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Richard Vernon and Dorothy Helen Wilson. She died Thursday, June 23, 2016, in Collinsville, Oklahoma, at the age of 81 years. Shirley was educated in Tulsa and graduated with the Will Rogers High School Class of 1953. She married Lester Eugene Redman on March 13, 1953 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Shirley spent her working life around the home raising her two wonderful daughters. She was a faithful member at First Church in Owasso for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, reading, scrapbooking, traveling, watching OU football, and above all she loved spending time with her family and especially playing games such as Skip-Bo with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Service will be held 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 27, 2016, at First Church in Owasso with Pastor Ben Killion officiating. Interment will be held at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Serving as casket bearers will be Jordan Gerber, Kevin Gerber, John Griffin, and Benjamin Smith; and honorary casket bearers will be Bradley Gerber and Steven Gerber. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to First Church YouthQuake Fund, 10100 North Garnett Road, Owasso, OK 74055. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
