Sue Lavaughn DavisSue Lavaughn Davis was born June 18, 1940, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Lester Marian and Wynema Jane Taylor Smith. She died Friday, March 26, 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 80 years. Sue was reared and educated in Tulsa and graduated with the East Central High School Class of 1958. She was married March 30, 1969, at Sharpe’s Chapel in Tulsa to Delmar Davis. They had made their home in Owasso in 1969 before Del’s work moved them out of state, then to Oklahoma City, and finally back to Owasso. She spent most of her working life as a homemaker and caring for her family. Sue was strong in her Christian faith and was a member of Christ’s Church in Owasso. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes, but most important her role of “Grandma Sue” to her grandkids, and attending all of their sporting events and activities.

Aaron Davis and wife Kristin, of Owasso, Oklahoma
Grandchildren; Tara Ford, Ryan Ford, Jordan Ford, Lauren Ford, Chloe Ford, Beth Ford,
Caleb Davis, Isaiah Davis, and Nathaniel Davis
Great grandchildren; Eva Ford and Evan Ford
Maverick Miller and Lawson Miller
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Jane Hart, and brother Charles Smith.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 1,2021, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Pastor David Payne and Aaron Davis officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Aaron Davis, Caleb Davis, Isaiah Davis, Nathaniel Davis, Gary Smith, Ryan Ford, and Jordan Ford. Committal service and interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Owasso. The family requests memorial contributions be made to The Gideons International, P.O. Box 1022, Owasso, Oklahoma, 74055. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
