A fun new twist is coming to this year’s Red, White & Boom Preshow at Redbud Festival Park — a watermelon eating contest!
This light-hearted and free-to-enter competition promises plenty of laughs for participants and spectators alike. Sign-ups will begin at 7:00 PM on the day of the event (July 4th) and are first-come, first-served. Space is limited, so arriving early is encouraged.
The contest will feature two rounds:
Round 1 for kids ages 9–15
Round 2 for participants ages 16 and up
The watermelon eating contest is just one part of the Red, White & Boom Preshow festivities, which also include live music by the Brent Giddens Band, lawn games, a free kids’ zone, and a variety of food trucks.
The fun runs from 7:00–9:00 PM on Thursday, July 4th at Redbud Festival Park in Owasso. Bring your appetite for watermelon and summer fun!
