w-squierWilliam Pete Squier was born December 24, 1932 in Wichita Falls, Texas to William Earnest and Thelma Lee Squier. He died November 24, 2016, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 83 years. Pete attended High School in Fort Worth, Texas and then enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving his country during the Korean War. After being honorably discharged, he enrolled and attended classes at Texas Christian University. He was married May 1, 1953 in Caldwell, Texas to Frances Mae (Odstrcil) Squier. Pete spent most of his working life as an Airline Mechanic for American Airlines where he retired from in 1995 after 39 years. He was avid in his faith and spent his most recent years attending Rejoice Free Will Baptist Church in Owasso. In his spare time he enjoyed studying theology in his library full of Christian books from various authors and dabbling in different hobbies such as hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Thelma Squier, and wife, Frances Squier.

Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Reverend Leonard Pirtle officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso. Serving as casket bearers will be Stephen Chamberlain, Zach Ritchie, Jacob Ritchie, and CJ Flynn. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Pete’s memory to Season’s Hospice, 6532 E. 71st St., Tulsa, OK, 74133. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
