10/28/2020 – During the month of November, The M.e.t and Full Sun Composting are partnering for the Third Annual Great Pumpkin Rescue to bring awareness to the issue of food waste by accepting holiday pumpkins at five of our M.e.t. center locations as well as at the Owasso Recycling Center. Residents can drop off their holiday gourds, squash, and pumpkins at any of the six locations free of charge during the month of November. Please remove all decorations, such as candles, plastics, or stickers. All pumpkins that are dropped off will be composted by Full Sun Composting. Much like recycling, composting turns food waste into something new – organic fertilizer! Compost will be available to residents who participated in this event in the Spring of 2021 from Full Sun.
