Carl Lee EddingtonCarl Lee Eddington was born December 26, 1932, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Fred Alvin Eddington and Claudia Celia (Allen) Eddington. He passed from this life on Saturday, June 29, 2019, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 86 years. Carl was raised and educated in Tulsa and graduated with the Central High School Class of 1951. After high school he earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Tulsa, and then went on to earn his doctorate in biochemistry from the University of St. Louis in St. Louis, Missouri. Carl also enlisted and served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was married October 16, 1958, in Sand Springs, Oklahoma to Peggy (Royal) Eddington. Carl spent most of his working life as a chemistry professor and taught at East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma from 1971-1996. Prior to 1971 he worked at the Noble Foundation in Ardmore, Oklahoma doing cancer research. He was an Emeritus Member of the American Chemical Society. He had a variety of pastimes such as fishing, singing in the church choir, playing bridge with Peggy, and anything involving family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Claudia, 2 brothers, Fred Jr. and Allen, and 1 sister, Mary Beth.
