Charles  William DukeCharles William Duke, Jr., was born March 24, 1930, in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, to Charles William Duke, Sr., and Erner Lee Williams. He died Wednesday, January 30, 2019, in Claremore, Oklahoma, at the age of 88 years. Charles completed his secondary education in California where he was a graduated of Bell Gardens Senior High School. He was married June 25, 1950, in Los Angeles, California, to Billie Marlene Carpenter. Charles was a “Jack of all Trades” working as a truck driver, an RV salesman, but primarily as a carpenter. He was a man of faith and a longtime faithful member of Victory Tabernacle in Claremore, Oklahoma. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes including his interest in classic cars. He especially enjoyed the outdoors camping and spending time on the water fishing and boating.

Charla Atchley, Michael Romine, Ashley Going
Great grandchildren; Kyler, Jordan, Paisley, Weston, Morgan, Chᾱs, 
Brandon, Blake, Hunter, Abby, and Regan
Sister; Lois Bridges, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Shannon Romine, and grandson, Rodney Odell Duke.
 
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, February 3, 2019, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 4, 2019, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Pastor Bryce Collins officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Ryan Duke, Roger Atchley, Michael Romine, Weston Long, Chᾱs Murray, and Reginald Murray. Final resting place will be at Woodland Memorial Park in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2448 East 81st Street, Suite #3000, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74137. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso.
