Christopher Brett PattonChristopher “Chris” Brett Patton was born February 27, 1969, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Jerry Dean and Anne Marie Smith Patton. He died Tuesday, July 23, 2019, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 50 years. Chris was reared and educated in Collinsville, Oklahoma, and graduated with the Collinsville High School Class of 1987. He continued his education at the University of Oklahoma where he earned his bachelor’s degree in finance. Chris was married June 27, 1992, in Collinsville to Sherri Blevins. He was very savvy with computers and therefore spent much of his working life as a computer analyst, primarily with Electronic Data Systems. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Owasso. Chris enjoyed a variety of pastimes including bowling, cycling, golfing, and disc golf. He loved playing online games with his friends, especially Call of Duty as well as NASCAR. Of course, as an OU Alumnus, he was an avid University of Oklahoma fan. Ultimately, Chris’s favorite pastime was spending time with his family, and even when cancer was compromising his body, he never failed to attend a family gathering. He was a devoted husband, an adoring parent, a loving son and brother, a loyal friend, and a faith filled man of God who had lived life well.

His wife Sherri and two daughters, Hallie Elizabeth and Sierra Anne, all of the home
Three sisters; Jerri Anne Berna and husband Rick, of Tulsa, Oklahoma
Robin Short and husband Ricky, of Owasso
Honii Mangrum and husband Mike, of Collinsville, Oklahoma
Parents; Dr. Jerry Patton and wife Ginger, of Collinsville, Oklahoma
He was preceded in death by his mother, Anne.
 
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, July 28, 2019, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 29, 2019, at First Baptist Church of Owasso with Pastor Chris Wall officiating. Committal service and interment will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville, Oklahoma. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Chris Patton Memorial Fund, c/o Bank of Oklahoma, 9580 North Garnett Road, Owasso, Oklahoma, 74055. Arrangements and services were entrusted Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
