08/06/2018 – The City of Owasso has identified a glitch in the most current list of addresses identifying a residence as a “No Knock” to unwanted door to door solicitors.

Some registered addresses have been inadvertently removed from the list. You can check to see if your address is on the list at http://cityofowasso.com/579/No-Knock-List . ** If you are not on the list and would like to be, you can register on-line or contact the City Clerk’s office at 918-376-1577.

What is the NO KNOCK LIST? In an effort to minimize unwanted solicitation, the City Council amended the ordinances on door to door solicitation to include a No Knock List option available to all residents living within the city limits of Owasso. Being added to this list prohibits solicitors from visiting your home or face a citation.

The exception to this rule, however, is non-profit organizations such as schools, churches and youth groups. For questions, call the City Clerk’s office at 918-376-1577.

Upon registration, your address will be added to the No Knock List. The City requires solicitors to purchase a Solicitor’s License, which includes a criminal background check for every sales person. The door to door solicitor is required to carry the license, as well as identification. If you have concerns about a vendor, contact the City Clerk’s office or the Owasso Police Department at their non-emergency number, 918-272-2244.
