Deborah Jean "Debbie" WillisDeborah Jean “Debbie” Willis was born April 14, 1954, in Atchison, Kansas, to Paul Allen Shannon and Dorothy Jean Jackson Shannon. She died Thursday, September 22, 2022, in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, at the age of 68 years. Debbie was reared and educated in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and graduated with the Central High School Class of 1972. She was married August 17, 1992, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, to Richard Willis. She spent most of her working life as a respiratory therapist with Hillcrest Medical Center and later with Tulsa Regional Medical Center in Tulsa. Debbie was very active in supporting the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including working in her garden with her plants and flowers, as well as spending time birdwatching. She also enjoyed spending time on the beach and was an avid reader. Her grandkids were of great joy to her and she especially enjoyed her role as “Oklahoma Grandma”.

Brother; Rick Shannon and wife Sharon, of Sand Springs, Oklahoma
Mother; Dorothy Shannon, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma
She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Shannon, brother, Pat Shannon, and brother, Randy Shannon.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2022, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 26, 2022, at First Baptist Church in Owasso with Pastor Chris Wall officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Matt Scott, Matt Shannon, Derek Shannon, Jake Adams, Joel Holmes, and Toney Ramsey. Honorary casket bearers will be Keith Barnes and Jeremy Matthews. Committal service and interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Owasso. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Debbie’s memory to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 2488 East 81st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74137, or at www.komen.org . Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
