Cut the Cable Cord Monday, Dec. 3 • 6-7:30 p.m. Looking for cheaper alternatives to pricey cable and satellite television packages? Join us as we talk about the pros, cons and costs of streaming platforms and devices. Attendees also will learn about streaming media offered by Tulsa City-County Library, including Freegal and Hoopla, which are free to library cardholders. Registration is required. Crochet 101 Tuesday, Dec. 4 • 4-5 p.m. Learn how to crochet! All levels of experience are welcome. If you are looking to learn a new hobby or get better at one you’ve given up on, Sarah Dawson will teach you the basics, help you get unstuck on your current project, and bring some inspiration of what you can do with crochet. Materials are provided, but you may bring your own. For ages 10-18.

Build A Reader Storytime: Babies & Toddlers Tuesdays, Dec. 4, 11 • 10-10:25 a.m. Tuesdays, Dec. 4, 11 • 10:30-10:55 a.m. Ready, set, READ! This beginning storytime focuses on helping your baby or toddler develop important literacy skills while emphasizing the fun of reading. For ages birth-2.

Build A Reader: Stay and Play Tuesdays, Dec. 4, 11 • 11-11:25 a.m. For babies and toddlers, playing is learning! Join us for games, toys and activities that foster your child’s early literacy skills.

Build A Reader Storytime: Preschool/Stay and Play Wednesdays, Dec. 5, 12 • 10:30-11:25 a.m. The best in children’s literature, songs, games, finger plays, rhymes and other reading-related activities are shared with your preschooler. Stay after storytime for games, toys and activities that foster your child’s early literacy skills.

Note about Storytimes: The last storytime of the year will be Wednesday, December 12th. Storytimes resume on Tuesday, January 15th.

PAWS for Reading Wednesday, Dec. 12 • 4-5 p.m. Registered therapy dogs are excellent listeners. Kids ages 5-12 are invited to read their favorite books to a furry, four-pawed friend. Each reader will receive a free book provided by the Raymond and Bessie Kravis Foundation through the Tulsa Library Trust. Registration is required; class size is limited.
