Girl SleepingDo you have bedtime battles at your house? Come to a free community workshop “Helping Kids Sleep Strong” on March 24th at 6 pm at the Owasso Library

Helping Kids Sleep Strong is a series of workshops designed to help parents and educators better understand the importance of sleep. The free community workshops will address common sleep problems and provide adults with tools and strategies to foster high-quality sleep for children.

“Quality sleep is related to learning. It improves attention and concentration. Grades also improve when kids are sleeping well because memory consolidation happens when brains are asleep,” said Lisa Cromer, assistant professor at The University of Tulsa and co-director of TU’s Institute for Trauma, Adversity and Injustice. “The Helping Kids Sleep Strong workshop is less than an hour long, is based on the latest sleep research, and offers simple, practical advice that parents can put to use that night.”
