Ishfaq Ahmad KhanIshfaq Ahmad Khan was born February 1, 1944, in Janawala, Punjab, Pakistan, to Khurshid Ahmad Khan and Noor Jehan. He died Friday, December 16, 2022, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 78 years. Ish completed his secondary education in Charsadda, Pakistan, and was a graduate of Charsadda High School. He continued his studies at Edwards College, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration. During his high school and college years, Ish enjoyed playing soccer and cricket. He was married November 11, 1967, in Nowata, Oklahoma, to Shirley Jeanette Young. He had worked as the Supervisor of Warehousing, Assembly and Shipping and Receiving with Johnson Manufacturing for over 40 years. He was a Type 1 diabetic and had severe asthma which led to his early retirement in 2007 at the age of 63. Ish was a Muslim man who loved his family more than anything else. He enjoyed watching his boys play soccer for many years. His interests included working on cars, yard work, and gardening. He also enjoyed cooking, hosting barbeques for friends and family and relaxing watching sports. He was very fond and extremely proud of his grandchildren, who affectionately knew him as “Papa”.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Shannon Khan, eldest brother, Rafiq Ahmad, wife, Shirley Khan, two stepbrothers, Nazir Ahmad and Bashir Ahmad, and two stepsisters, Rahima Begum and Rashida Begum.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Pastor Kevin Laufer officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be David Young, Greg Santistevan, Tommy Locke, Jody Graham, Jeff Youngblood, and Tommy Wheeler. Honorary casket bearers will be Kaiden Khan, Eldon Swink, Nikki Santistevan, Brian Graham, Taner Anderson, Wade Lenhart, Scott Lenhart, Rawley Anderson, CJ Santistevan, Akmal Ahmad, Khalid Ahmad and Imad Ahmad. Committal service and interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Owasso. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
