Junior EdwardsHomer Junior Edwards, Jr. was born November 30, 1929, in Garland City, Arkansas, to Homer B. and Jewel Goad Edwards. He died Saturday, February 29, 2020, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 90 years. Junior spent most of his working life as an auto body repairman for his brother-in-law and service station attendant for his brother at various service stations in Vinita, Oklahoma. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes including listening to country music and traveling to Branson with his niece. He was also a fan of country music, Elvis and Marilyn Monroe.

 

Those he leaves behind who hold many cherished memories include:
Brother Kenneth Edwards and wife Betty, of Kermit, Texas
And a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer Edwards and Jewel Huda, five sisters, Lorene, Evelyn, Betty, Mary, and Ann, two brothers, Lonnie and James.

 

Graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at Winganon Cemetery in Winganon, Oklahoma, with Pastor Leonard Pirtle officiating. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
