Mac H. Brown was born September 7, 1932, in Decatur, Arkansas, to L.H. and Edith E. (Barnes) Brown. He died Thursday, November 7, 2013, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 81 years. Mac completed his secondary education in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and graduated with the Broken Arrow HighSchool Class of 1950. He was a veteran of the armed forces having served his country honorably with the United States Army. He was married April 3, 1953, in Broken Arrow to Betty Ann Stamper. They had made their home in Talala, Oklahoma, since moving there in 1973. Mac spent much of his working life as an aircraft mechanic and inspector with American Airlines in Tulsa. His greatest love aside from his family was working on the farm. He just always enjoyed his time working cattle, and working in the fields with his tractor and equipment. He also gave back to his community volunteering in several capacities including the Rogers County Fair Board and the Rogers County District #4 Water Board. He was also a member of the Angus Association and the Oklahoma Farm Bureau. For many years, Mac was a part of the Talala Cemetery Association and was the sexton of Fairview Cemetery in Talala.

And a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Mac Keith Brown, granddaughter, Lauren Brown, great granddaughter, Anna Katherine Hakel, two brothers, Wayne Brown and Dean Brown, and a sister, Vonneil Griffin.

Visitation will be held 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 11, 2013, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at the Full Gospel Christian Center in Watova, Oklahoma, with Pastor Joe Goodin officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Scott Hakel, Rodney Hakel, Logan Adams, Garrett Adams, Ricky Brown, and Bill Wofford. Committal services and interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Talala, Oklahoma. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Talala Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 130, Talala, Oklahoma, 74080. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
