Mary Ilene Freuchting was born July 22, 1937 in Collinsville, Oklahoma, to Ellis Burtram Fritz and Florence Maude Yockey Fritz. She passed away Sunday, September 25, 2022, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 85 years. After completing her education in Collinsville, Oklahoma, Mary was married August 25, 1954, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, to Ralph Freuchting. She worked several jobs in her life, but had been a nurses aide with the Collinsville Memorial Hospital. Along with being a homemaker and caring for her family and puppies, Mary and Ralph fostered six newborn children in their home. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, and participated in the Wagoner First United Methodist Church Prayer Shawl Ministry. She and Ralph enjoyed RV’ing, as well as attending Bluegrass music festivals. Mary dearly loved her grandchildren and was especially fond of her role as “Mimi”.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis and Florence Fritz, husband Ralph Freuchting, and a grandson, Christopher Dorst.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 29, 2022, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2022, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Brenan Fulton officiating. Committal service and interment will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville, Oklahoma.
