Mary Sue Reed was born November 27, 1929, in Adair, Oklahoma, to Carl Willard Propp and Susie Maud England Propp. She died Thursday, January 25, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 94 years. Mary completed her secondary education in Adair, Oklahoma, and was a graduate of Adair High School. She continued her education at Northeastern Oklahoma A & M in Miami, Oklahoma, then finished at Missouri Southern College in Joplin, Missouri, earning her Bachelor’s degree. Mary worked at Craig County State Bank, but most of her professional career was as a schoolteacher with Quapaw Public Schools. She was a strong woman of faith and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Commerce, Oklahoma. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including farming, spending time in her garden, and going shopping for antiques. She also learned to fly.

Allie Fisher, Aiden Fisher, Edmond Fisher, Riley Fisher, and Nora Fisher, all of Tahlequah, Oklahoma
Sister; Betty Hollis, of Lawrence, Kansas
Brother; Bill Propp, of Adair, Oklahoma
Sister; Shirley Spears, of Tulsa, Oklahoma
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Susie Propp, and husband, Robert E. Reed.
Final resting place for Mary will be next to her husband at the McLaughlin Cemetery in Cleora, Oklahoma. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
