02/06/2018 – Owasso Firefighters had to call for assistance early Tuesday morning after a house caught fire on Owasso’s far east side. Because of the rural location, there were no nearby hydrants. Limestone Fire Department department brought a water tanker to the scene. The home is in the area of 82nd Street North and 161st East Avenue.

Owasso Fire reports that the resident woke up to heavy smoke and fire around 1 a.m.   The  home owner and his pets were able to get out of the home safely.

The resident reported fire going up the wall behind his television. The fire had made it into the attic before the fire department arrived.

It’s not clear yet on how the fire started.
