Visit Angels awards Hospitality House Caring Award

The Oklahoma Caring Awards are sponsored by Hospitality House of Tulsa.

Hospitality House Hosted Second Annual Oklahoma Caring Awards Gala on September 14, 2017 at the DoubleTree at Warren Place.

To honor Oklahoma’s spirit of caring for others, Hospitality House recognized family members, friends or community members for The Oklahoma Caring Awards. Nominations open through July 12th.

“In times of crisis, Oklahomans have always been known for their spirit of caring for their communities, neighbors, and strangers. Hospitality House is excited to recognize those in our state who exemplify this genuine standard of caring.” – Toni Moore, President & CEO of Hospitality House of Tulsa.

Companies, individuals and churches from all over Oklahoma were nominated in the following categories:

•         The Caring Award – Individual Caregiver (any age and any diagnosis)

•         The Caring Award – Small & Large Business (Small: less than 100 employees, Large 100+ employees)

•         The Caring Award – Church

•         The Caring Award – Healthcare Small and Large (Small: less than 100 employees, Large 100+ employees)

Two of these winners were from Owasso.  Page Cole & Visiting Angels of Green Country won the Caring Award for Large Healthcare companies, edging out Cancer Treatment Centers of America, and St. Francis Health Systems.  Greg Simmons of Simmons Homes won the Large Business Award.

The Oklahoma Caring Awards honors individual caregivers, churches, businesses, and healthcare companies who have gone above and beyond to care for their loved ones, community, or clients. “We are thrilled to honor all of the nominees, finalists, and winners of the Oklahoma Caring Awards, which represents the highest standard of care that Oklahomans are known for in times of crisis,” said Hospitality House Founder and CEO, Toni Moore.

In addition to her own $1,000 award, Mayberry also received a $2,000 gift certificate from Mattress Firm Tulsa. Sean Kouplen, honorary chair for the event and Chairman of Regent Bank, says, “I know from personal experience how much caregivers need our spiritual, financial and physical support.”

Nearly 200 people were present for the program that honored the six award winners, as well as the 18 finalists. The entertainment for the evening included both a silent and live auction, as well as an engaging presentation from Hospitality House’s Founder, Toni Moore. As guests departed, they were given fresh pineapples, which are an international symbol of hospitality.
