Walter Anderson Highfill was born August 22, 1949 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Harry and Estell (Wilson) Highfill. He passed from this life on Friday, September 28, 2018, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 69 years. Walt was raised and educated in Tulsa and graduated with the Memorial High School Class of 1967. After High School Walt attended classes at Northeastern State University and the University of Tulsa. He married Gwendolyn Georgianne (Fellers) Highfill in Tulsa on March 20, 1970. Walt spent most of his working life as a Metal Construction Salesman with various metal building and canopy companies. He attended Freedom Church in Owasso since 1995 until his health no longer allowed him to attend. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes such as woodworking, hunting, fishing, and taking naps.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Estell.
Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Pastor Andrew Rankin officiating. Graveside Service will follow at Park Grove Cemetery in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
