Owasso’s Recreation and Culture Department has some exciting news to announce! Funtastic Island Playground, located at the northern portion of the sports park off 116th Street, is undergoing a complete renovation.
The new park will include:
Brand new playground features
Rubberized ground surface
Synthetic turf
Shade structures
An interactive splash pad
An expanded parking lot
Funtastic Island is a very popular recreation destination for our community; however, after sixteen (16) years of use, it is time to renew and develop the space with an updated, modern, and innovative play area for kids and families.
As they renovate and develop for the future, park closure for construction is necessary for achieving this development. Funtastic Island will be closed starting Monday, August 16, 2021, until February 11, 2022.
