Sandra Ann “Sandy” Casler was born June 21, 1937, in Texarkana, Arkansas, to Melvin Hudson and Ann Loraine (Lichlyter) Johnson. She was raised by her mother and stepfather, Berry Fisher. She completed her high school education in Springdale, Arkansas as a graduate of Springdale High School. Sandy continued her education at Tulsa University where she earned her Bachelor’sDegree in education. She completed her Master’s Degree in psychology at Northeastern Oklahoma State University. Sandy spent much of her working life as a counselor and later as a professor withTulsa Community College. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including swimming, scuba diving, traveling and snow skiing. She loved animals of all kinds. She showed both horses and dogs and was a member of the American Palomino Association. Sandy was involved as a volunteer at the Tulsa Zoo. She enjoyed many sports teams and was an avid fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Sandy’s included many as her family members: 
Her son and daughter-in-law; Scott and Stacie Casler, of Oologah, OK with children Kristina Casler, Krista Schupp, Lindsey Casler, and Melissa Gibson.
Her daughter and son-in-law; Jeanne and Kenny Branstetter, of Vinita, OK with children Teresa Brill and Cache Branstetter.
Her long time friend and companion, Mary Huff, of Oologah, OK.
Mary’s daughter, Erin, and her family; Ronnie Leigh and son, Remington. 
Mary’s brother and sister-in-law; Mike and Maria Huff of Tulsa, OK with sons Lyndon and Evan. 
Her great grandchild, Lily Grace Stinson, the daughter of Teresa Brill and Josh Stinson. 
She was preceded in death by her parents and step-father.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 2, 2014, at First Baptist Church in Owasso with Pastor Page Cole officiating. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Tulsa Zoo Friends Foundation, 6421 East 36th Street North, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74115. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
