Wanda Eads BeattieWanda Virginia Eads Beattie was born February 3, 1936, in Baron, Oklahoma, to Jesse Wilson Walker and Callie Burgess Walker. She died Tuesday, February 7, 2023, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 87 years. Wanda completed her secondary education in Westville, Oklahoma, and was a graduate of Westville High School. She spent most of her working life as a homemaker and caring for family. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including square dancing and playing the piano. Wanda was especially fond of her role of “Granny” to her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Billy Wayne Eads, husband Dick Beattie, son, John Eads, siblings, Juanita Bettencourt Lynn, Douglas Walker, Freeda Helm, Virgil Walker, Arlis Walker, and Joyce Walker.
 
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 17, 2023, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 18, 2023, at the Westville Cemetery in Westville, Oklahoma, with Pastor Leonard Pirtle officiating. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Wanda’s memory to one’s favorite charity. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service.
