Cory Lane HicksCory Lane Hicks DC was born March 26, 1978, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Ronald Richard Hicks and Sue Elaine Musgrove Hicks. He died Thursday, February 9, 2023, in Creve Couer, Missouri, at the age of 44 years. Cory was reared and educated in Oologah, Oklahoma, and graduated with the Oologah High School Class of 1996. He continued his education attending Lindenwood University. He then went on to Oklahoma State University and Cleveland Chiropractic Undergrad from 1996 to 2000 where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Biology. Cory was married February 15, 2003, in Arnold, Missouri, to Molly Blume. In 2004 he completed his education and received his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree at Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, Missouri. After graduating, Cory worked as an Associate Doctor at Westwood Chiropractic in Westwood, Kansas, where he treated players of the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals. In 2005, the Hicks family moved back to Owasso, Oklahoma, at which time Cory purchased Lakeside Chiropractic, his first satellite Chiropractic office, in Skiatook, Oklahoma. In March of 2008, Cory took over Claremore Chiropractic and Rehab from his father, which he has owned and operated since that time.
Cory was a member of Life Church in Owasso and was an active partner of Integrity Management. He was a very active member of the Patriot Golf Club in Owasso and thoroughly enjoyed spending time on the golf course and with his many friends. He was an avid fan of the Oklahoma State Cowboys and was a member of the OSU Alumni Association (GO POKES!). As a native Missourian, he was also a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
Cory loved life and was never short of having a great time. He dearly loved his family and attending all his children’s activities.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Ronald Richard Hicks DC, and father-in-law, James William Blume, Jr.
 
A Celebration of Cory’s Life will be held Monday, February 20, 2023, in the Founders Room of the Patriot Golf Club in Owasso. Doors will be open at 12.00 p.m. and the celebration will begin at 1:00 p.m.
A private family interment will be held at a later date at Woodlawn Cemetery in Claremore, Oklahoma. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Cory’s memory to the Brain Injury Recover Foundation, www.braininjuryrecoveryfoundation.org or to the Hicks family, G6 Allies at www.G6.churchcenter.com . Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso, Oklahoma.
