Zoila Rosa Rodriguez, age 97 of Owasso, passed away Monday evening, March 10, 2014. She was born September 22, 1916 in Columbia, South America to Abdo’n and Facunda (Rincon) Rodriguez. Zoila came to the United States in the early 1950’s, living for a short time in Miami, FL before moving to New York. She worked as a stenographer for an engineering firm. Zoila has made Owasso home for the past ten years. She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church and enjoyed reading, walking and in her earlier years enjoyed playing golf.
Zoila is survived by her nephew Kurt Hudson of Tulsa; a niece Margaret (Maggie) Hudson-Timmerman of Huntington Beach, CA and close friend & sister in law – Dossie Madewell of Owasso.
At her request, cremation has taken place and memorial services for Zoila were held at 10:00 AM Saturday, March 15, 2014 at St. Henry Catholic Church with Father Matt LaChance officiating. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso. www.moweryfs.com
