07/02/2025 – Exciting developments are on the horizon for the Owasso Redbud District! The property that currently houses the Owasso Library—spanning 1.83 acres—is set to be transformed into a dynamic new space that blends community, convenience, and modern living.
The proposed project will cover nearly the entire block where the current library sits and will be built through a public-private partnership. At the heart of the plan is a four-story, mixed-use building that will bring together a brand-new library and residential living in one thoughtfully designed space.
The ground floor will be home to a spacious, 21,163-square-foot library. Above it, three floors will feature 59 modern apartment units, creating what will be known as the Library Lofts. For added convenience, a dedicated book drop-off area will be located on the west side of the building.
Both residents and library visitors will enjoy a variety of amenities designed to enhance the overall experience. Proposed features include:
-
A rooftop pickleball court
-
Rooftop seating area with an outdoor kitchen
-
Child play area
-
Shaded tables and benches
-
A landscaped courtyard
This new development promises to be a unique and vibrant addition to Owasso, combining education, recreation, and community all in one location. Stay tuned as the project unfolds and this exciting vision becomes a reality! We will keep you posted as progress continues.
